Water Water Everywhere

Filed under: — Kate @ 6:27 am EST

Just so all of you know, I am not under water, though I can’t say the same for much of the surrounding region. A good chunk of Eastern Pennsylvania (as well as parts of New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Maryland) is has been inundated with flood waters.

How are the rest of you faring?

I’m on higher ground in Manayunk. I usually curse the steep steep steep hill walking home, but right about now I’m pretty happy with it.

I’m on an island. Seriously, my little complex is surrounded by small bridges that all wash out during storms of this magnitude. SO yeah, it takes forever to find one of the many bridges that will allow me safe passage. EVen then, you’ve gotta figure out how to cross the next Creek or stream without washing away with it. You know how it is Kate.

Quite the opposite. Over 110 already…think we’re going to break our wedding record heatwave. Apparently the SIL is facing some high waters in Bloomsburg but they are on high ground…thankfully. Are your folks cool Kate?

Stan, I do know how it is… hope the water stayed out of your basement.

Meli, my folks were fine, thanks for asking. :-) The only flood they ever had was when the hot water heater broke and filled the basement with a foot of water.
