Filed under: — Kate @ 10:21 am EST

Since Halloween is looming, I thought I’d make this month’s survey a little morose. Answer truthfully or lie your ass off, whichever you prefer.

1) Name three things that scare you.

2) How about three things that really gross you out?

3) What’s your favorite Halloween costume from when you were growing up?

4) Ever toilet paper something or otherwise cause general mischief?

5) Freddy or Jason?

6) When was your first close hand experience with death?

7) What’s the worst possible death you can imagine for yourself?

8) Are you an organ donor? If not, why?

9) Cremation or burial?

10) Do you believe in things that go bump in the night?

    Heights. Speed. Water.

    2) How about three things that really gross you out?
Eating pus (I’m thinking specifically of a scene in “Brain Dead” that makes me barf)
    German scheisse videos
    Boiled sausages

    3) What’s your favorite Halloween costume from when you were growing up?
    Soldier

    4) Ever toilet paper something or otherwise cause general mischief?
    Yes.

    5) Freddy or Jason?

    6) When was your first close hand experience with death?
My uncle had an asthma attack and died while staying at our house for Christmas

    7) What’s the worst possible death you can imagine for yourself?
Anything where I lose my mind first, like CJD or Alzheimers.

    8) Are you an organ donor? If not, why?
    Yes.

    9) Cremation or burial?
Who cares? I sure as hell don’t or won’t.

    10) Do you believe in things that go bump in the night?
If you mean the supernatural, no.

  2. Lushy Says:

    1) Name three things that scare you.
Being poor, demonic possession, and driving in the bad parts of Compton or the LBC after 2 AM.

    2) How about three things that really gross you out?
Kids when they chew with their mouth open, snot rockets, and meatloaf.

    3) What’s your favorite Halloween costume from when you were growing up?
    Jason

    4) Ever toilet paper something or otherwise cause general mischief?
    sho nuff

    5) Freddy or Jason?
Jason. Cooler kills and just scarier.

    6) When was your first close hand experience with death?
Aside from attending funerals, nothing really. No one has died in my presence unless you count driving by an accident scene.

    7) What’s the worst possible death you can imagine for yourself?
    burning

    8) Are you an organ donor? If not, why?
    Yes.

    9) Cremation or burial?
Undecided, but if the costs of burial keep going up I would likely choose cremation.

    10) Do you believe in things that go bump in the night?
I live in Vegas. You aren’t even allowed to start bumping until 10 PM here…

  3. Holz Says:

    1) Name three things that scare you.
Small dolls that come to life. Horses. Women.

    2) How about three things that really gross you out?
Refried beans. Street fight videos. Two dudes kissing.

    3) What’s your favorite Halloween costume from when you were growing up?
My mom always made me awesome one’s with paper-mache heads. The best was the Stay-Puft Marshmellow Man, using an asbestos suit as the body.

    4) Ever toilet paper something or otherwise cause general mischief?
    Of course

    5) Freddy or Jason?
Are we talking about scary Brian Austin Green costars? ‘Cause Freddie Prinze Jr.s pretty scary, but Jason Priestly has the whole “coming back from the dead” thing working for him.

Either way, Ash would kick all their asses.

    6) When was your first close hand experience with death?
When I was in elementary school, a friend of mine got in a car crash and her entire family was killed except for her baby sister.

    7) What’s the worst possible death you can imagine for yourself?
I always fear I’ll get multiple sclerosis. Burning to death would be a close second though

    8) Are you an organ donor? If not, why?

Yeah, I don’t want to come back to life as a zombie, so I imagine the less organs in my body, the less chance of that happening.

    9) Cremation or burial?
    Cremation: see zombie answer above.

    10) Do you believe in things that go bump in the night?
It would certianly make things more interesting if there were unknown things out there.

  4. Kamin Says:

    1) Name three things that scare you.

    Heights, large insects, and sharting

    2) How about three things that really gross you out?

Getting rotting roadkill guts in between the tread of your sneakers when running (did that this week), sniffing the previous to determine what it was, and the Dutch.

    3) What’s your favorite Halloween costume from when you were growing up?

Not my own, but my brother went as a shower. Brilliant!

    4) Ever toilet paper something or otherwise cause general mischief?

I was actually in a TP gang in high school called the Royales. We TP’ed a bunch of people’s houses and cars from school… even a teacher. In college, we TP’d the main enterance to the school and even stuck TP all over the back of the Security van (with the officer in it!!) Awesome.

    5) Freddy or Jason?

Freddy Mercury? Jason Newstead? I’m more a Metallica fan, so… Jason.

    6) When was your first close hand experience with death?

Only time I watched someone die was a guy who keeled over at a gas station from a heart attack. Saw the whole thing.

    7) What’s the worst possible death you can imagine for yourself?

Fingernails pried up and little pebbles put underneath them, then fingernails replaced and vice grips tightening down on them as the minute hand of clock rotates on.

    8) Are you an organ donor? If not, why?

No. Stupid rumor about Dr’s letting you die if you’re real close just to harvest your organs. I know it’s BS, but never changed it…

    9) Cremation or burial?

    Coordinator: Crucifixion?
    Prisoner: Yes.
Coordinator: Good. Out of the door, line on the left, one cross each.
    [Next prisoner]
    Coordinator: Crucifixion?
    Kamin: Er, no, freedom actually.
    Coordinator: What?
Kamin: Yeah, they said I hadn’t done anything and I could go and live on an island somewhere.
Coordinator: Oh I say, that’s very nice. Well, off you go then.
Kamin: No, I’m just pulling your leg, it’s crucifixion really.
Coordinator: [laughing] Oh yes, very good. Well…

    10) Do you believe in things that go bump in the night?

I AM the thing that goes bump in the night. Bump chica wow wow!! GIGGIDY GIGGIDY GIGGIDY!!!

  5. Stan Says:

    1) Name three things that scare you. — Heights, The Dark, Doctors

    2) How about three things that really gross you out? — Blood, Vomit, Feces, Star Jones (ok so that’s 4)

    3) What’s your favorite Halloween costume from when you were growing up? — I was the Ewok Medicine Man one year.

    4) Ever toilet paper something or otherwise cause general mischief? — Forked a lawn or two in my day.

    5) Freddy or Jason? — I’ll go Jason ’cause Slaughter House for the Turbo Graphix 16 was awesome. That and Bonk’s Adventure.

    6) When was your first close hand experience with death? — I die alot when I play Halo.

    7) What’s the worst possible death you can imagine for yourself? — Bleeding Out

    8) Are you an organ donor? If not, why? — Way to take a quick political turn. Anyway, nope. I’m always wary of filling in that box on my license, but all of my family knows that I’m all for it. That way if I get killed, harvest away. Except my heart and eyes. They’re mine.

    9) Cremation or burial? — Don’t care, whatever’s cheaper.

    10) Do you believe in things that go bump in the night? — My neighbor and his wife are constantly bumping in the night. Take from that whate you will.

  6. Kate Says:

It’s about time I answered my own questions…
    1) Name three things that scare you.
Large trucks, heights, death of people close to me

    2) How about three things that really gross you out?
    Eye injuries, port-a-potties, maggots

    3) What’s your favorite Halloween costume from when you were growing up?

    4) Ever toilet paper something or otherwise cause general mischief?
A few times in my misguided youth. But in high school, I only did it to specific targets.

    5) Freddy or Jason?
    Freddy.

    6) When was your first close hand experience with death?
I now realize I should have written this question differently. What I meant was “When was first time death touched your life?” I didn’t mean seeing someone actually die!

Anyway, my great-grandmother (for whom I am named) died when I was 10 years old, and that was very sad. But the first really painful death that touched me was when my grandfather died. I think I was 19.

    7) What’s the worst possible death you can imagine for yourself?
I used to think it would be by fire, but most people who die in fires pass out from smoke inhalation first. Short of actual torture, I think maybe getting bludgeoned to death would be the worst.

    8) Are you an organ donor? If not, why?
Absolutely. And I could give you a hundred reasons why.

    9) Cremation or burial?
I’ve never been able to decide, but I don’t think it really matters. It is nice for family to have a grave to visit, though.

    10) Do you believe in things that go bump in the night?
In my apartment building? Of course I do!
